The Peter Bressi Northeast Senior Center is located in the Frankford Section of Northeast Philadelphia and has been a positive presence in the community since 1984. Our center is a program of the Northeast Community Center for Behavioral Health and is funded through the Philadelphia Corporation for the Aging. Membership is open to all Philadelphia residents aged sixty or older who can conduct one’s self independently while at the center. The Senior Center is a multi-purpose day facility.

The center staff includes a Director, Activities Coordinator, Case Worker, Receptionist, Transportation Coordinator, and a Nutrition Aide who all work in collaboration to provide our seniors with a safe, fun, healthy, happy, and supportive environment.

The mission of the Peter Bressi Northeast Senior Center is to provide the highest quality of life for all members through a balance of socialization, recreational, educational, health promotional, and social service programs. Our program places much emphasis on improving the overall health and well-being of each member.

Transportation to and from the center is available through the Septa shared ride program, and members, aged sixty-five and older, are eligible for this door to door service. The center is also very easily accessible through Septa and has a secure parking lot for those who wish to drive to the center.

We have a variety of volunteer opportunities available as well. Our volunteers are a very important component of our Senior Center, and we honor our volunteers each year with a special volunteer recognition banquet held in April.
