Northeast Community Center for Behavioral Health is located on U.S. Route 1 – 4641 Roosevelt Boulevard – at the intersection of Adams Avenue, on the grounds of Friends Hospital in The Orleans Building.

  • From Schuylkill Expressway (I-76):
    Center City, Western Suburbs

    From I-76, take the exit for US Route 1 North, Roosevelt Expressway. After about 2 1/2 miles the road will divide into inner and outer lanes. Take either the first or second crossover to get into the far outer lanes. Go about another 2 miles and you will come to the hospital on the right hand side. Turn right at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the Hospital’s main gate.

  • From Pennsylvania Turnpike:

    Take Exit 351 (Philadelphia) and get onto Route 1 South. Stay in center lanes of this divided highway. Once you have crossed the Philadelphia city line, you will drive about 10 miles. When you pass Summerdale Avenue, you will see a sign for Friends Hospital on your left hand side. Get into left hand turning lane (which is Langdon Street) and enter the Hospital’s main gate.

  • From Bucks County or North Jersey:

    Take Route 1 South, which is Roosevelt Boulevard. Stay in the inner lanes of this divided highway. Once you have crossed the Philadelphia city line you will drive about 10 miles. The hospital will be on your far left, immediately past Summerdale Avenue. Turn left at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the Hospital’s main gate.

  • From Eastern Montgomery County:

    Take Route 309 South to Cheltenham Avenue. Take Cheltenham South to its end at Tacony Creek Park, and turn right. Turn left at the first light onto Adams Avenue. Take Adams about one mile to Roosevelt Boulevard, Route 1 and follow signs to Route 1 North. Be sure to stay in the far right lane when you make the left hand turn since you will be making an immediate right into one of the two gates of Friends Hospital. The main gate is at the next traffic light. Turn right at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the Hospital’s main gate.

  • From North of Philadelphia:
    Bucks County

    Take 95 S. to Cottman Avenue Exit. At the bottom of ramp, cross through traffic light one block to Cottman Avenue. Turn right onto Cottman Avenue. Follow Cottman Avenue to Roosevelt Boulevard (Route 1). Make a left onto Roosevelt Boulevard and at first cross-over, get into center set of lanes — left lane. When you pass Summerdale Avenue, you will see a sign for Friends Hospital on your left hand side. Get into left hand turning lane (which is Langdon Street) and enter the Hospital’s main gate.

  • From South Jersey:

    Take Route 73 to the Tacony Palmyra Bridge into Philadelphia and stay straight on Levick Street to Roosevelt Boulevard Route 1 South. Turn left onto Roosevelt Boulevard and stay in the far left lanes. The hospital is about 2 miles south immediately past Summerdale Avenue. Turn left at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the Hospital’s main gate.

  • From South of Philadelphia:
    Philadelphia Airport, Delaware

    Take I-95 North to I-76 West. Take the exit for US Route 1 North, Roosevelt Expressway. After about 2 1/2 miles the road will divide into inner and outer lanes. Take either the first or second crossover to get into the far outer lanes. Go about another 2 miles and you will come to the hospital on the right hand side. Turn right at the Langdon Street traffic light to enter the Hospital’s main gate.

  • Nearby Public Transportation:

    SEPTA bus routes “8”, “R”, “J”, and “K” all linking with the Frankford Elevated, stop in front of the hospital. Route “R” also links with the Broad Street Subway at Hunting Park. For more information about public transportation, call SEPTA at 215-580-7800.
